2. Application form/enrollment agreement, high school diploma and high school transcripts, university transcripts (if attended college/university), application fee of $50, proof of English proficiency (e.g. TOEFL score of 500/173 for undergraduates or 550/213 for graduate majors), Affidavit of Financial Support form, and bank statement/letter. 3. Yes, The International Academy of Design & Technology is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award associate and bachelor degrees. ACICS: 750 First St., N.E., Suite 980, Washington, D.C. 20002-4221. The Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation.
4. IADT - Chicago is located in Chicago's "loop" at historic One North State Street. Our exciting urban location is central to historic Chicago, convenient to the city's businesses, and at the core of Chicago's cultural center. The IADT campus is within walking distance of:
- Historic River North's Merchandise Mart and Apparel Center complex
- North Michigan Avenue's retail shops
- State Street's Marshall Field's and Carson Pirie Scott
- A multitude of other nationally advertised retail outlets and many advertising, graphic design and interior design firms
- Art Institute of Chicago
- Harold Washington Library
- Chicago Cultural Center
5. The Academy has contracted with RnR real Estate to assist students with affordable and adequate housing. Our shared dormitory style apartments are located throughout the city in safe, accessible areas. Each apartment accommodates four students with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Most apartments are furnished and include utility costs in the rent. Independent housing is also available for those who are interested and IADTs housing coordinator will be happy to assist you. The estimated cost may vary depending on the package.
6. Tuition ranges from approximately $360 to $410 per credit, depending upon the program of study that you choose. Students on F-1 visas must take 12-20 credits per quarter (3 months), and at least three quarters per year. The minimum range for tuition will be from $14,760 and $21,600 per year which does not include cost of books and fees. You will need to count on costs for books, food, and living expenses.
7. Students should be able to secure funding from their own sources. Please check with the education ministry in your country about funding or scholarship opportunities.
8. There are very strict regulations governing working in the USA. You should not count on working to pay for your expenses while you study. Qualified International Students with F-1 visas are allowed to work part-time with certain restrictions and must meet international student requirements. Student can use career services to assist them with their CPT (Curricular Practical Training) and OPT (Optical Practical Training) time.
9. At this time we do not offer online courses.
